Part of why things are blotchy is because the stroke is too hard or slow. It usually begins at the start and as you're making hard outlines in other angles. Manage the time between line and the paper soaking the ink.
Try drawing stars, squares and triangles enough times to help with sharpies bleeding but try to draw it quick and not to press hard for that sharp line :)
I try not to rush when it comes to fine liner part because I always end up messing up the art and then having to start from scratch. I have some fine liners that don't bleed through so that's good.
Garfie comes off as an easy going smartass and I would cater her five cheese lasaga
The good Chip is somewhere else I bet
But that takes a little extraction ;3

Juust a reflex, I get that all the time. Though my reaction goes more and tries to smack anything back.
Love how you express your life, so keep it up.

The depths in shading with posture is great, though a more slanted stance for our protagonist would've been better if he's going to be in a more combative stance. Though that might've been remedied by that cue in the right hand in a middle of forming a fist, even then that'd be tucked in if he was preparing to strike.
I'd definitely love to hear your end of this whole illustration, and I want so say again that this is pretty good mate
I appreciate your feedback. I was more so going for a "Still willing to talk it out, preparing for when shit goes awry" feeling. Obviously the guy in the foreground has no interest, but at the time, I saw Colin as someone who does his best to put diplomacy in place at every opportunity. Of course, that's all due to change sporadically. I may need to get what I truly see them as down on paper one of these days, but something tells me that would be less fun.
